Wink and Grow Rich #5
Saturday, March 28th, 2009

The journey of nine year old Richard in Wink and Grow Rich is one which I believe many of us can relate to. If you are lucky enough to have a copy of the book, aim to read a chapter a day. If you don’t have the book then you can Click here to download the Book Summary or Audio Summary.

The key really is in: Apply, Rinse and Repeat.

Learning Is A Game

Learning is a game. Remember that.

Sure, plan your strokes on land, write it down, but then you’ve got to jump in and sink or swim. Then get back out and review what happened.

Ask how you can improve. Then do it all over again. You’ll learn in no time.

Try to learn when you’re safe and dry, and you’re just kidding yourself.

- The Plumber

Ask And You Shall Receive

No matter how hard you try, and no matter how long you stare at something or someone, people can’t read your mind. Although most people would readily help you, they won’t know what it is exactly that you want.

How many times have you complained about something only to have the response, “Why didn’t you say anything?”

The successful people know about this, and Mark Victor Hansen and Jack Canfield even wrote a book called The Aladdin Factor based on this factor. So next time you want something, ask!

What You See Is What You Get

We all live in our own reality, and we’re limited by our beliefs. Think of the time when it was thought that the world was flat, or when flying to the moon seemed like an impossibility.

The opportunities of man are limited only by his imagination. But so few have imagination that there are ten thousand fiddlers to one composer.

- Charles F. Kettering

Once you open your mind to the possibilities, you will see all the opportunities in the palm of your hand.

Think it, Ink it

There’s a new game show on TV called “Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader” which gives everyday adults like you and me a chance to win some quick tax-free money by answering questions a 5th grader would know. The interesting question is, why don’t we know the answer to those questions?

A great analogy is to think of the brain like a computer. There’s only so much space in our short term memory, and information which is not regularly retrieved is easily forgotten.

So what’s the surefire way to remember those fantastic ideas during your Eureka moments?

Think it, Ink it
