Roger Hamilton – Wink and Grow Rich
Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

When I first started going through self help materials, I quickly learnt that I wasn’t very disciplined in reading non-fiction books. I could whiz through a novel or two in a day, but I struggled through non-fiction that wasn’t engaging to me.

And then I found my hands on Wink and Grow Rich by Roger Hamilton, it teaches us all the core concepts needed in our path to success in a story format. The journey of 9 year old Richard will teach you to see the opportunities right before your eyes, to see the Wood from the Trees.

Wink and Grow Rich #1
Sunday, October 12th, 2008

The journey of nine year old Richard in Wink and Grow Rich is one which I believe many of us can relate to. If you are lucky enough to have a copy of the book, aim to read a chapter a day. If you don’t have the book then you can Click here to download the Book Summary or Audio Summary.

The key really is in: Apply, Rinse and Repeat.

Think it, Ink it

There’s a new game show on TV called “Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader” which gives everyday adults like you and me a chance to win some quick tax-free money by answering questions a 5th grader would know. The interesting question is, why don’t we know the answer to those questions?

A great analogy is to think of the brain like a computer. There’s only so much space in our short term memory, and information which is not regularly retrieved is easily forgotten.

So what’s the surefire way to remember those fantastic ideas during your Eureka moments?

Dr Demartini – Values
Friday, October 3rd, 2008

Dr Demartini was one of the very first speakers on personal development I ever listened to. Demartini not only delivers his presentations in a style which is engaging, but he also touches on topics which are at the root of many problems people have.

Dr John Demartini is a world leading behavioral expert, speaker and author. His scope of knowledge and experience is a culmination of 34 years of research and studies of more than 28,000 texts into over 200 different disciplines ranging from psychology, philosophy, metaphysics, theology, neurology and physiology.

Although many of us are already aware of the theory of which Demartini speaks about, the problem is that we have trouble mastering it. By fully clarifying our own values, we will be able to fine tune our lives for success.

I found Stephen Pierce to be a fantastic speaker because he keeps everything simple, to the point and he draws examples from things we can all easily relate to.

This audio reveals some pretty powerful success tips, and because I’m more of a visual person myself, I would suggest that you grab a pen and paper to jot down some points when you listen through it the second time around.
Below is a rough diagram of Stephen Pierce‘s Cycle of Success.

Cycle of Success

We all start on the Grid to success at LSLE and the aim is to end up at LSME. However, as Stephen explains, some people fall into “All Kinds of D’s” and then either Cut (exit the grid) or Continue.

Success comes to those who understand that in life we will face obstacles, but they won’t stop in the face of a challenge because they know that they will reap the rewards in the future.
